DCWV Inc. Memory Makers Planner System Setup

I am so excited about the release of the brand new DCWV, Inc. (Die Cuts With A View) Memory Maker Planner System! I was able to check it out at the 2017 Creativation (formerly CHA) show in January, and I couldn't wait for them to hit the stores!

I live close to a Joann Craft Store, so I had to go and see what they had, and they were fully stocked.

I had to have this beautiful silver metallic cover

I love the heart cutout on the inside pockets

The gold foiled polka dots on the back cover are gorgeous!

The planner covers also comes in these additional options.

I also purchased the adjustable punch, weekly inserts, daily inserts and starter kit that includes beautiful gold foiled acetate dividers, monthly calendars, stickers, and pocket pages.

Some additional accessories that are available are planner stamps, stickers, sticky notes, mini notebooks, a supply pouch and pocket pages.

To see how I set up my planner, watch my setup video below:

All of these wonderful items are available at Joann Stores now! Stop by and find your planner bliss today like I did :)

How to make a DIY mini travelers notebook with items you have on hand

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by my blog today :) I have a really cute TN tutorial for you that I created with the bag from a monthly planner kit I subscribe to. It's so easy to make with just a few supplies, here is how I made mine...

Supplies:
Any paper that you like (at least 5x7 inches large)
TN calendar insert (I used this one)
Gift wrap elastics
Paper trimmer
Scissors
Laminating machine
1/8" hole punch
Corner rounder punch

Directions:

Print the insert of your choice and fold in half or use an insert you have on hand.

Use insert to measure paper to fit inside your TN, add 1 1/2 inch width for spine if you want a more chunky TN. Also add about 1/8 inch to top and bottom to allow for elastics.

Trim paper and mark where to punch holes for elastics. I also pre-folded my creases before laminating.

Use a corner rounder to round the corners

Laminate paper

Fold into TN shape while warm

Trim extra lamination off being careful not to cut too close.

Use a heavy duty 1/8 inch punch

Punch holes for elastics where you pre-marked before laminating

I punched 3 on each side and one in the center for the elastic band to wrap around and keep the TN closed.

Lace your elastics as shown (inside)

(outside)

Double knot and trim off any excess.

Lace one of the tied elastics through the center hole and tie a double knot to keep from coming back through the hole.

Add the insert to the first elastic

You can add dashboards, vellum, acetate etc. to the additional elastics to fill your TN to capacity and enjoy!! I hope this tutorial will help you make your own TN! Tag me on IG: DIYplannergirls when you make yours! I can't wait to see them!

Review of The Planner Society January Kit

I have several planner friends that absolutely love The Planner Society kit, so I decided to give it a try and I am really glad I did. I signed up for the January kit and so far I have been able to create several fun planner projects with the items in the kit. When I first received the kit I thought the packaging was really cute.

The first thing I made was a planner pocket folder for my Kate Spade planner.

I love how it looks in my planner and it also holds the cute planner girl post it notes.

The next thing I did was decorate my weekly spread in my planner. How cute is the washi tape?!?

Next, I made a pocket TN from the bag that all of the items came in.

It was so easy to make and I will enjoy filling it with TN goodies in the weeks to follow.

The last thing I did was repair my planner clip that came in the kit with Pop Up Glue Dots I posted a video below that shows how I did it.
